Magic 2014 Sample Decks Revealed - Initiative : Tabletop

Each year, in efforts to help new players learn the ways of Magic: the Gathering, Wizards of the Coast releases sample decks that they send to retailers. These sample decks are available in each color, though there are no multicolored sample decks. Each year they get updated with cards from the latest core set, and with Magic 2014 on the way the new sample decklists have been revealed on the Wizards site.

We decided to grab the decklists and post them right here for your viewing and with them we get to see the new cards coming in Magic 2014. Check out the lists below:

Looking over the lists, I feel that the Green Deck has gotten the best of the picks, and that’s usually how it comes about with these samples. I’ve found that green is the easiest color for new players to learn, which gives strength to why the green list looks the best. The previewed cards each look pretty neat, especially when we’ve got a new Llanowar Elves in the skin of Elvish Mystic. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Magic 2014 set, but so far what do you think?
