Raine's been gaming for as long as he can remember. It all started back with his video gaming roots, and as he got older he transitioned into tabletop. A lover of all games, some of his favorites include Pathfinder, Battlestar Galactica, Magic: the Gathering, D&D Attack Wing, Regnum Angelica, and Warmachine/Hordes. Raine's been writing for many years, and loves being a part of the gaming industry.

On Kickstarter: Lagoon: Land of Druids

Lagoon Land of Druids

Druids are magical beings with the power of nature on their side. I do rather enjoy druids, both playing one in World of Warcraft as well as running the faction that contains them in Hordes. There’s just something about the savagery of druids that really gets my blood pumping. That’s why, when I came across Lagoon: Land of Druids on Kickstarter, I got really excited.

Lagoon: Land of Druids is a board game for 2-4 players where you forge the destiny of a world. Each player leads a circle of druids in search of enchanted sites that offer magic powers and the energy you will need to bend Lagoon’s destiny. Players take actions that will alter the balance of power between three different energies: Elemeen, Vowelon, and Deonin. The energy with the most sites claimed under their power at the end of the game becomes Lagoon’s destiny, and the players controlling these energies will come out as the victor.

Lagoon looks amazing, and the game’s creator, David Chott, has really paid attention to detail. The artwork is fantastic, and that alone makes me want to have this game in my collection. The game’s Kickstarter campaign has already funded, and now it’s advancing toward stretch goals. What’s even better is that the game is set to deliver in August, which means it might be released in time for Gen Con! I am really excited for this campaign, so head on over to its page to find out more and back it for yourself!
